Periodically we have children from LPCC that have go through very tough times. Two of those children are Jake Lewis and Bailey Bowen. Back in 2004 Jake, then 8 years old, underwent brain surgery to relieve pressure from a cyst. The cyst cannot be removed, only drained. He has since underwent 2 very long and painful spinal taps to relieve the pressure. Without these procedures he suffers from severe headache, nausea, blurred vision, and poor coordination. Left unchecked these symptoms could be permanent.

Bailey Bowen was born with heart problems and underwent open heart surgery as a very young child. Just recently, 8 year old Bailey underwent another open heart surgery. After the surgery she was not feeling well and had to undergo another 4 hour surgery to repair damage caused by a wire which was inserted during the prior surgery.

Some staff and friends of LPCC raised these two children up in prayer as they went through their ordeal and during the recovery period.
