Important Dates to Remember

In observance of Labor Day, there is no school or daycare on Monday, September 3rd. 

Fridays

Serra school has minimum days on all Fridays.  Children need to walk directly to the cafeteria after school.  They may eat a hot lunch or a packed lunch there.  Please make sure your child has a lunch.

Homework Club

Serra school usually has a homework club after school one or two days a week.  Please let me know if your child is planning on attending this club so we can prepare a list of children arriving at 3:30 on those days.

LPCC also has set aside 2:30 -3:30 for homework each day.  Please let us know if your child needs to start on their homework at daycare. 

Family Folders

Each family has a folder next to the sign-in sheet.  Please check these folders daily for newsletters, ouch slips, statements and important announcements.

Parking

In order for LPCC to remain good neighbors with our friends who live on Dudley Street across from our classroom, we ask that you only park on our side of the street when picking up and dropping off your child.  Our staff has been instructed to park at the ends of Dudley Street or in the school parking lot to leave more room for you near our classroom.  Sadly, some of our parents have blocked driveways while dropping off or picking up their child from LPCC.  The city or school district will surely get involved if  this practice continues.  Additionally, we have seen LPCC children dart into the street to get to their car and they have nearly been hit.  So for safety reasons alone, it is best to park only on our side of the street. 

Reminders

Payments are due on the Friday prior to the week of daycare regardless of your child’s attendance.  All accounts not paid in full by 9am Monday morning will receive a $5 late payment fee.

For the safety of all the children in our center, please remember to call or send a note if your child will not be at daycare.  A number of children may be absent without notice on any given day and when this happens we are forced to call each of these parents.  Unfortunately time passes while we try to contact each parent and the last parent called for that day may not be reached until too much time has passed.  If your child is ever missing I am sure you would want to be reached as soon as possible so please help everyone out by letting us know in advance or by stopping by the daycare center if your child will not be attending daycare that day.  In an effort to help minimize this problem, we charge accounts $5 for every time we are forced to call to confirm your child’s absence.
